I'm Waiting for Life to Shower Me with Meaning and Happiness

Kimber wishes.

It's the first day of school, and I've spent the entire day looking through class descriptions and majors, trying to find something easier. I'm an English major, which is pretty easy, but there are a lot of books to read, and almost as many papers to write. I suppose I should have spent the first day paying attention, networking, forming study groups, and getting an early start on the reading, but that would involve work, and I consider my work done for the day by the mere fact that I got out of bed and came to school.

I think I've always looked for an easier way out of things. When I first started in band I wanted to play the trumpet rather than the saxophone because basic logic says that three keys must be easier to learn than twenty-three. That proved to be untrue (though I had to do a lot of sluething to find this out, as we only owned a saxophone and it's hard to qualitatively measure personal experience against another's testimony).

In any case, I spent today looking for an easier way to get a Bachelors, but there really isn't one, unless I'm very rich and able to just hire somebody else to go to class for me and do the work. If I were rich, that is surely what I'd do, but I'm not, so I can't.

Since the class in which I was trying to avoid work is now over; to sum up: I'm lazy, school is hard, I'm not rich, and despite all of these things I expect to have a degree in April and find a high-paying job which I enjoy, no matter how little I deserve these things. In short, rather than work for anything, I'm waiting for life to shower me with meaning and happiness.

Trapped!

My name is Renshaw. Devin Renshaw.
Today I found On Demand an old Bond film in the seventies that had Shawn Connery in it. The into was pretty good up until someone else in the room said they wanted to watch something else. So instead I discovered "Starsky and Hutch" on AMC and we watched Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Snoop Dog jump around and fight crime. It was intense.

So after watching "Starsky and Hutch" and part of "Ocean's Eleven" I left work and came home to my grandparents house where I am presently living. I came home to an expected party that my cousin Lisa was putting on for some friends of hers. What I didn't expect was how boring and clickish the party was going to be. Not to say that it was boring for everyone else. The only people that weren't having fun were Nolan, Grant(my cousin), and myself. So after about an hour or two of being shunned by all the BYU faggots and unsuccessfully convincing Nolan to leave with me, I retreated to my room. Then I proceeded to write this post. On a side note here is another drawing of mine.

I don't believe in my friends; (they think they're God)

This is Nolan

Ok number one, I have a few complaints on the last four blogs i viewed. If your gonna use my name as a joke make it a new and original one. old jokes are... well... OLD! Number two: Devin said the word period in the last post and it made me squirm. number three: Kimber and Devin suck! (I have no evidence for the last part but take my word for it)

Here's me bitching... Why the hell do you guys have more posts with my name as a tag then anything else? I hardly write in this Blog because I can hardly write! my baby brother Devin is the one who started this blog in the first place. He should be the center of attention, not me. I feel like Strong Bad in Homestar Runner.

Now i'm all out of energy thanks to you guys! I hope your happy! Next time I won't address these issues and leave you in the dust like I'm trying to do with my girlfriend. (Btw if you have any helpful tips to break up and make her think she's the bad guy post a comment below)....:)

working makes your irresponsible friends hate you

this is Nolan

So it's been a while since I posted, I have a darn good excuse too. Truthfully I have a job that demands I wipe man butt. it's very sad, especially since some of my patients are homosexual. Recently my job has demanded more hours out of me. this week is especially terrible in that I have two or three extra patients that i usually don't see, the reason for this is not however: unknown. Some of my evil coworkers decided to go on a week vacation. This is disturbing to me because I had planned to take a compass test to get into UVU. in all truth i can't do that this week because i practically work the entire day from four in the morning, till four in the evening, indulging myself in various tasks like oil changes and "gay stripping." Life is usually good but at the moment it sucks. I wish this trial would end so i could write a bigger blog instead of listening to my irresponsible friends bitch and call me a voyeur.

by the way Devin and Kimber.... oh what the hell, I have no witty comebacks to your rude accusations, :-<>

Dude, where's my rollover?

My car tried to hide from me yesterday. And it succeeded.

A little history first.

I drive a Ford Bronco 2 to work. The first time I drove it to work Mark(40 year old dude I work with) took one look... and called it a Rollover. It's been called the Rollover ever since. Who's ever heard of a Bronco 2 being called a Rollover? I haven't. Back to the story.

My work is at a little publishing/distribution company called Covenant Communications. I spend my time in the shipping department and either push carts around and put orders together(we call them tickets, new orders are called sneaks) or do returns(which is what I do most of the time). Its a good job. Most of the time. Sometimes it sucks.

But more history. The geography of the joint goes like so. Theres a warehouse to the east. Parking lot smack to it on the west. Containers(like big ugly semi trailers only fatter and no wheels, I'll take a picture one of these days) to the south of the parking lot, and theres about 10 to 14 of them. We store extra crap in them that won't fit in the warehouse.

So heres the story. Work is finished and we all walk out to the parking lot. My Rollover is GONE! Completely. No sight of it anywhere. I was stunned. Dying comes to mind in these type of situations, I'm not sure why. Anyways, for some dumb reason I assumed that my mother came and got it. I don't know why I thought that. Brett(coworker) said,

"Hey Renny(nickname) do you need a ride home?"

I said,

"Yeah"

So we got in the car and started driving. We drove almost all the way out of the parking lot and towards home when Brett slapped his forehead in shock.

"I forgot to tell James(another coworker) something."

I kinda wonder what he forgot to say when we turn the corner back into the parking lot and dum dee dum!

Theres my car.

Behind some containers. Hiding. Where I could only see it from my new vantage point. Brett started laughing hard. So did I.

"You got punked! ha ha You got punked! hardy har har"

"You guys are buttholes(I was laughing too). So who did it"

"I did ha ha. I was walking out to the containers when I saw your keys left in your car and I was like hmmm. laugh laugh laugh"

I get out of the car.

"See ya monday"

"See ya"

It was pretty funny. I laughed. Maybe you should've been there to see it. It would have been funnier.

Brett.

I'm gonna get you.
